Terrible food. Pork Belly dish was as dry as the Nullabor. Hardly any veges in Pad Thai or other noodle dishes. Overpriced. Toilets were disgustingly dirty. Kranky alright. I was fuming.
Absolutely terrible service. Waited over 45 mins for food while being able to overhear the chef say "don't ask for orders or they come out slower" which as a customer I do not want to hear. The staff say they will follow up your order but don't, and they don't clean up when they make a mess. We even had a waitress swear when she nearly dropled something on my sister. Would never come back or recommend this place again
"I've tasted more flavoursome postage stamps!" We dined here tonight with high hopes of a nice meal, but the reverse was the result. The only beers available were bottles of Corona and Budweiser despite the beer menu being deceptively promising. The food we ordered was undercooked and bland, with the pineapple rice served with elements which clearly came straight from a can. The background music was quickly turned up quite loud, blasting music more suited to a nightclub than a restaurant and tracks were frequently skipped part way through. The service was laughable and with only two others dining, we still had to order everything at the bar. After dining we used (what we believe to be) the combined staff and patron bathroom facilities and had we visited them first, we would have certainly not stayed for the meal, as they were filthy with no functional hand drying facilities in both bathrooms. We mentioned this to two staff members who claimed to have no idea this was the case, and one staff member who mentioned that this was just the tip of the iceberg. Honestly, I've tasted more flavoursome postage stamps and only wish that Australia Post had a restaurant in the entertainment quarter precinct. We will not be back to Kranky chef or Rumfire or any other name this restaurant trades under into the future.
Overpriced, average and somehow thoughtless menu. $15 for some veges, sauce and a triangle piece of tofu sliced very thinly into 4. The proteins have a (v) next to them where appropriate but none of the sauces are labeled with a (v), which begs the question: why bother with labeling something as vegetarian when nothing else that goes with it can be vegetarian. Staff were friendly. Filthy bathrooms. Wont be back.
Poor menu choices, overpriced and ordinary food, poor service and filthy bathrooms. Lucky to get 1 star! Won't be back.
