We stopped in because they had a range of cakes and pastries out the front of the cafe. They had a table set up with their unsold items from the cake fridge inside. We bought a couple of items, but we're not super impressed. The caramel cheesecake was ok, but no effort was put into presentation. The Cronut was very nice. Not dry or flakey. It was perfect. The blueberry shortbread tart my friend bought was really dry and hard. It tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a week. We asked to exchange it and got a caramel slice instead. That was fabulous. It was very rich and super sweet. We had a small pot of tea with our cakes too. The pot is tiny! Probably got a cup and a half our if it. The tea was loose leaf though, which is great. Swings and roundabouts here. Not bad, but not great.
The ice cream is good.
Came here last night, the "extraordinary shakes" was literally milk with a scoop full of powder. Tasted like milk and nothing else, no ice cream, no cream, no flavour, no anything?? The "milo hot chocolate" was again just warmed milk. $12 - wasted. Save your money and go anywhere else. If I hadn't of gotten it as take away, I literally would have gone back and demanded a refund.
Coffee average, food did not arrive before coffee was cold, and was tastless. Had to ask where food was and staff were very rude. Place was not crowded and staff were just chatting on mobiles. Then to top it off my husband who ordered differently to me got food poisioning. Beware.
Had the "extra ordinary shakes" which was not extraordinary at all. The shakes were too milky, not enough ice cream to make it feel like a shake. Salted caramel had no caramel, just vanilla. Service was long despite having only us and one other customer. Disappointed.
